FAQ
frequently asked questions
What services do you provide?
Green Acorn Landscape Design is an award-winning landscaping and construction company offering a range of outdoor services across the North West. We handle everything needed to transform your garden, from the initial plan and design to the full installation of both hard and soft landscaping features.
Our services include paving, planting, and even driveway installation. We have extensive experience across the industry, meaning no project is too big or small for us.
Will my garden be customised to my style and needs?
Absolutely! Every design we create is bespoke and tailored to our clients. We take the time to understand our clients’ needs, desires, and lifestyle so we can create a landscape that aligns with them. This is done through our detailed consultation process, which begins every project we undertake.
Throughout the project, our garden designers and landscape gardeners will collaborate with you to ensure you are completely satisfied at every stage. Whether you envision a simple modern landscape or a lush cottage garden, we can create the ideal outdoor space for you. We provide a 3D garden design service so you can get a clear idea of what your garden will become and ensure you are happy with our plans before we even lift a spade.
How does your design and installation process work?
We have a clear, step-by-step process you can expect to follow when working with us for design and installation. To take your project to a finished garden design, we offer:
- Enquiry & Consultation: It all begins with an enquiry – whether you call us or contact us online, we will get back to you to arrange a site visit and in-person consultation. During the consultation, our expert designers will take the necessary measurements and inspections of your landscape and learn more about your desires. Using the information gathered during the consultation, we can offer a personalised quote for your upcoming project.
- Design Phase: Once you have decided to proceed with us, our garden designers will get to work crafting a bespoke plan for your outdoor space. We take everything we have learned from the consultation into account to provide a detailed design of the intended works. To make things easier, we can even provide a 3d rendering of your garden design. These will be presented to you for feedback and additional development, ensuring you are completely satisfied before we move forward.
- Landscape Construction: With the approved design in place, our landscape gardeners begin the process of constructing your new outdoor space. We handle all areas of the installation, which can include foundational preparation (especially for hardscaping elements such as paving, patios, and driveways), as well as the construction of all elements and any finishing touches, such as setting up garden lighting.
- Aftercare & Maintenance: Our work is not over when the installation is complete, as we provide an extensive aftercare and maintenance service to our clients. We will ensure your garden is in prime condition and to your satisfaction before deeming any project complete. Our team will also take the time to discuss ongoing maintenance plans with you, so you can upkeep the landscape and ensure it continues to be a source of pride for your home.
Will you also handle the construction and planting or do you only do the design?
We are a full-service landscaping and design company, which means we offer all the necessary services to bring your dream garden to life. While we specialise in garden design, this is not the only thing we offer.
When you choose Green Acorn Landscape Design, you are getting access to a complete in-house team of landscaping, design and construction experts. We will handle all areas of your garden renovation, including the design, construction of new features, and planting. Working with us means you do not need to find separate contractors – we do it all.
How long does a typical project take to complete?
Project timelines can vary greatly, based on the scope and complexity of the work.
In general, the design phase (which includes the consultation, design creation, and adjustments) can take anywhere from one to two weeks to a couple of months, based on the scale of the project. The construction phase, which involves bringing the design to life, can range from a few days to several weeks of on-site work.
For example, a small project, such as installing a new patio, could be completed within a week, whereas a large-scale garden transformation, which requires multiple designs, construction services and installation types, can take several weeks to a couple of months to complete.
Rest assured, we will try to make things easy for you. During the initial planning stage, we will discuss the proposed timeline for your project so you know what to expect and can plan around our visits.
How much will my project cost and can you work within my budget?
The cost of your landscaping project will vary greatly, based on factors such as the size of your garden, the complexity of the project, your chosen materials, and the required services. Because each project we undertake is unique, we do not have a set price we can offer for landscaping. Instead, we provide all clients with an accurate, personalised quote.
During the consultation, we will learn more about your landscapes and your desires for it, as well as what you can afford. We will discuss your budget and offer the best recommendations based on what you want to pay for landscaping. We are very conscious of working within your budget and providing the best service your money can buy.
Our consultation and quotation process is free and no-obligation, and will provide an in-depth breakdown of proposed works, including material costs, labour fees, and an estimated timeline. To learn more or request your personalised quote, reach out to the team today.
Do you provide aftercare or maintenance once the project is finished?
We want your new garden to thrive for years, not just once we have finished with it. This is why we provide aftercare and support to all clients. We can ensure you are well informed regarding the best decisions to make for your new landscape and how to keep it in prime condition throughout the years.
As part of our service, we will give you instructions and tips to help you care for your new plants, lawn and any newly installed features. While we do not provide a dedicated garden maintenance service, we can support you after the project in other ways. If you have any concerns or questions, feel free to reach out to us, and we will help however we can.
We create beautiful outdoor spaces that last, and your long-term satisfaction is very important to us, which is why we will support you in any way we can after the project is complete.
How do I book a consultation and what is your availability like?
Booking a consultation with us is easy – simply reach out to the team via the online contact form or call us on 01925 598 800. Our friendly team will work with you to arrange a convenient time for your on-site consultation.
Typically, we can schedule the initial visit within a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on both your availability and ours. We operate year-round, so you can contact us anytime.
However, please be aware that the spring and summer are particularly popular for landscaping projects, so our availability may be lower at these times of the year. If you have a specific timeline you would like to work towards (for example, creating a new garden ready for the summer) we’d recommend getting in touch with us as soon as possible to secure a slot.
Do you use eco-friendly or sustainable practices in landscaping projects?
Yes – environmental responsibility is a core value of our company and plays a pivotal role in all of our work. We are committed to sustainability and environmentally friendly practices, implementing them where ever possible across our projects.
In practical terms, this can mean anything from using permeable paving and driveway materials, such as resin, to choosing native and climate-appropriate plants. We source quality, long-lasting materials for all our installations to reduce the need for replacements, repairs or maintenance. Where possible, we will use recycled or sustainable alternatives in our installations, especially if this is important to you.
What areas do you serve?
Green Acorn Landscape Design is based in Warrington, and we serve a wide range of areas across the North West of England, including Cheshire, Manchester, Prescot, Altrincham, and St Helens.
Chances are, if you are based in the North West, we can work with you. Reach out to the team today for more information.
