Project Requirements
For this garden design project, Green Acorn Landscape Design completely renovated a small garden in Warrington. Our client had seen some of the previous work we had done for a friend, and wanted us to offer the same high standards for his garden design project.
He wanted to renovate his small outdoor space, transforming it into an environment where he could cook, relax and unwind.
Garden Design And Foundational Work
The first stage in this project was to develop the garden design, using the ideas our client had for his outdoor space, along with the conditions of the landscape. All garden design projects begin with a consultation and site assessment, where we can learn more about you and your desires, as well as assess the condition of your garden.
Once our design was approved, we began the foundational work to ensure the garden design was installed correctly and would last a long time. For this, we had to dig the ground levels and put in foundations for retaining walls and steps.
We used concrete blocks for both the steps and the walls, as these were going to be permanent features within the garden design.
Paving Installation And Cladding
With the foundation set, we began installing the sub-base materials. This was also an opportunity for our team to install the underground ducting for the lighting and outdoor kitchen appliances.
Porcelain paving tiles were installed as both the floor of the outdoor kitchen area and jacuzzi space, as well as used as cladding on the walls to ensure a universally modern appearance to the whole space. The floor and walls were grounded, offering a clear definition between the slabs and enhancing the structural integrity of all surfaces.
Artificial Lawn, Planting Schemes And Modern Appliances
To ensure this would be a low-maintenance outdoor space, our client chose artificial grass for the main lawn area. We added this, along with a selection of new plants and trees to provide structural interest and privacy to the garden.

Project Outcome
Our client now has a contemporary garden designed for entertaining and hosting. The garden features an outdoor pizza and egg cooker, and a jacuzzi, which is certainly going to be a popular spot for our client and his friends.
